the meal was great! the service excellent! I struck up a conversation with our server who was wearing an Obama 08 button on his tie!.I asked him how well he did as a server, He told us that he does quite well!. Mom and Dad pay for his tuition, and this job pays his books and gives him a good amount of spending money!. He was really fired up about Mr!. Obama as well, and spoke highly of him!. When our check came, I paid it!. But, I left the tip as 0 Confused , the server asked me if he did anything wrong!? No I replied!. But in keeping with the Barack Obama spread the wealth around theme I told him I thought he made enough money , And I was going to give his tip to someone who needed it more!. Waiters, waitresses, bartenders and cooks, all work very hard for what wages that they make!. You could not possibly know enough about him to tell if his mother and father pay anything for him and political affiliation does not detour the fact that he is trying to earn a living!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I don't think so, because he did do everything right!. He gave you good service, and it doesn't matter if anyone needs it more, he still worked for it!. It doesn't matter if he made enough money, it makes more sense to give money to someone who earned it than someone who needs it, yet spit in your soup!.
Really, it is your choice, but it's not nice as most of waiters' and waitress' income come from the tip!. They work hard to make the customer happy!.
