ok a lady goes into a cafe and asks for a glass of water
the man behind the counter takes out a gun and points it at her
she waits a moment, smiles, thanks the man and leaves!.

The woman had the hiccups and so she asked for a glass of water to get rid of them but instead the guy behind the counter takes out a gun and that gets rid of the hiccups because it scared herWww@Enter-QA@Com
She was the ghost of his former lover and someone whom he had killed one year before!. He had strangled her after he mistakenly thought she had had an affair with his best friend while he was at law school!.
Depressed, he quit school and went into food service!.
Her restless spirit, hungry for revenge, haunted the law library and discovered in an old law book (she was flipping through because it had been one that he checked out) that it was illegal to carry a gun in an establishment that served alcohol!.
Knowing that her ex-lover was a raging libertarian who was always armed, she decided to get revenge on him!. She also knew the cafe (as it had been where their first date had been) and knew thisly that it did in fact serve wine and spirits!.
She showed up in the cafe where he worked on the anniversary of her death, scaring him senseless!.
He pulled out the gun because he didn't know how else to defend himself from this vengeful apparition that no one else could see!. In his fear and anger and rage we waved the gun around and screamed at her to leave him alone!.
Noticing what was happening, and unable to see her, several customers, a fellow waiter, and the manager all called the police!.
The ghost waited until she heard the approaching sirens, knew he'd be arrested, smiled, and faded away into nothingness!.
