Question: Does the "First Date" episode of Frasier have a reference to One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest in it!?
The title card in that episode after the commercial break says "the potatoes are the politicians!." I wondered if this was a reference to the kind of nonsensical statements the colonel made in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest by Ken Kesey!. Like he would say "The butter is the republican party!." Just wondering, thanks!.

Unless 'One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest' had that phrase about potatoes, or something really similiar, then it's not an allusion!.
So what is it talking about!? I'm not sure!. It is just a nonsense phrase, but since there's no real connection to the Colonel, there is no allusion!. For instance, Brad Pitt's character in 12 Monkeys says a lot of crazy phrases!. But that doesn't mean it's an allusion about his character!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
