Question: Numbers Brainteaser!!! FUN!?
The object is to make the most efficient ruler- like using the least amount of wood!. The most efficient way to make a four unit ruler is like this:
1, 1, 2 because you have to be able to measure each unit individually from one side or the other EX: 1, 1, 2: measure 1 unit from the left side, to measure 2 units use the left of right (1+1=2, 2), to measure 3 units use the 2 from the right and the 1 in the center (2+1=3), to measure 4 use the whole "ruler"!. The brainteaser is to make the most efficient 12 unit ruler!.
