Don't say evolution because a dinosaur cannot lay an egg and suddenly out comes a chicken!. Evolution takes thousands, maybe millions, of years!. So only a chicken egg could only come from a chicken!. Unless the egg in the question isn't a chicken egg, then eggs came first because animals have been laying eggs for millions of years, before chickens came in!.
