There is a death on the 51st floor of a 60 story building!. It is reported to the police and 2 officers show up, a very fat (Officer 1) and a very skinny one (Officer 2)!. And guess what, there is no lift!.
Officer 1 says "I'll never make it to the top, you go on and have a look and let me know what the scene is!."
So officer 2 starts climbing and on the 35th floor, thinks "Oh forget it, its too high, I'll just make up some scene!." So he starts heading down!.
He finally arrives at the parking lot and officer 1 asks "So, whaddya see up there!?"!. To that officer 2 replies, "Well it all looked completely messed up!." Officer 1 yells "WHAT DID YOU SEE!?!"
Office 2 says "Well, I saw an upside down clock stopped at 12:03, there was a book open with a pen between the pages 273/274 and there were three chairs on the floor making the shape "A"!.
Officer 2 slaps him and says "you didn't make it to the top, did ya!?"
How did Officer 1 know that Officer 2 did not make it to the top!?

In books, the odd-numbered pages are always on the right page, and the even-numbered pages are always on the left page, so they would be back-to-back!.
You can't make an 'A' with three chairs!.
