ON THE WAY, THE BELLB OY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO SPLIT $5 EVENLY
BETWEEN 3 MEN, SO HE GAVE EACH MAN A $1 AND KEPT THE OTHER $2 FOR
HIMSELF!.

Answers:
There is no other dollar!. $25 for the room!. $3 back to the 3 men = $28, plus $2 the bellboy kept = $30Www@Enter-QA@Com

We had this in Geometry a few weeks ago

$30 to start with!.
- $5 taken back to men
= $25 left
$5 taken back to men
- $3 given away
- $2 in pocket of bellboy
= $0! There isn't an extra dollar, It's a trickWww@Enter-QA@Com

The reason why there is a dollar missing is because you're using two ways to solve it!.
30 - 5 = 25
25 + 3 = 28
28 + 2 = 30 (addition and subtraction)

9 x 3 = 27 (multiplication)Www@Enter-QA@Com

the room didnt cost £9

25 / 3 = £8!.33

(£8!.33 * 3 = £25 )+ £2 (from bell boy) +£27 + £3 that the men got back in changeWww@Enter-QA@Com

what other dollar!? 25 for the room, plus 3 for each of the men, plus the 2 the bellboy has, equals, 30!Www@Enter-QA@Com

the room was 25 bucks so the men were charged 30 bucks each man got a buck back the bellboy kept 2 bucks 25 plus 3 bucks plus 2 bucks equal 30 bucks in any math problem you have to use the right equationWww@Enter-QA@Com

the dollar is with the 25 because you cant divide 25 between 3 people but you can with 24Www@Enter-QA@Com

THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM!.

no they did'nt they paid 9!.333333333333 (12 three's)
for the room!.

9!.333333333333 x 3 = 28
use a calculator (y)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Krystal,

First, the men each give $10 for a total of $30!. Then, they eventually get $1 each back which you acknowledge in the second to last line of your riddle:

THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM, WHICH IS A TOTAL OF $27!.!.!.

So, my question to you is -

If the men each paid $9 for the room for a total of $27, WHY DO WE NEED TO FIND $30 AGAIN!?

Once the men are returned $1 each, you do not need to find $30 - you only need to find $27! Where is the $27, then!?

The man behind the desk has $25
The bellboy has $2

To this $27 you want to add the $2 the bellboy has a second time to get $29 and then ask me where the $30 is!. This is just a trick to confuse people!.

If you want to know where the $30 is -

The men have $1 each for a total of $3
The man behind the desk has $25
The bellboy has $2Www@Enter-QA@Com
