Explain what has happened to the other dollar. (brain teaser)?!

Question: Explain what has happened to the other dollar!. (brain teaser)!?
3 men go into a hotel!. The man behind the desk said the room is $30, so each man paid $10 and went to the room!.

A while later the man behind the desk realized the room was only $25 so he sent the bellboy to the 3 guys’ room with $5!.

On the way, the bellboy couldn’t figure out how to split $5 evenly between 3 men, so he gave each man a $1 and kept the other $2 for himself!.

This meant that the 3 men each paid $9 for the room, which is a total of $27, add the $2 that the bellboy kept = $29!.

WHERE IS THE OTHER DOLLAR!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
3 x $9 does equal $27, but the $2 tip is included in that $27, so it makes no sense to add the $2 to $27 to make $29!.

They paid $25 for the hotel room, $2 for the tip ($27), and then got $1 back each to make the original $30!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Each man was SUPPOSED to have paid $8!.33 for the room, but instead paid $10!.00 each!.

If the bellboy only took two dollars and each man wound up paying $9!.00/each, then each man STILL overpaid by 33 cents!.

Each man SHOULD have received $1!.66 cents, but instead only received $1!.00!.

So, the hotel is now is possession of $25!.00, each man is now in possession of $1!.00 that they didn't have a minute ago and the bellboy has the other $2!.00!.

When viewed in terms of what everybody HAS as opposed to what they should or should not have paid, the math now works!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

This appears frequently in this section!.

3 x $9 = $27, but the $2 tip is included in that $27!.
They paid $25 for the hotel room, $2 for the tip ($27), and then got $1 back each to make the original $30!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
