Surely the whole point of this is that some people view things pessimistically and some people view things optimistically!. There is no technical or scientific difference between "half full" and "half empty", it's a matter of perception!. Optimist will say it is Half Full
Pessimist will say it is Half Empty!.
However, those of us in the Engineering field (like me) will look at the unused portion of the container and say "The glass has been over engineered"!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you're pouring INTO it then it's half full!. If it was full and you drink half, then I'd say it's half empty!.
