This is a shakespearean sonnet (poem) that i wrote for language arts this year with a little riddle inside!. first person to tell me what/who the "beast" is gets 10 points!
The Beast
It swirls like an enourmous vat of tar
And sucks you in like a deep sea whirlpool!.
It makes you stumble about like a fool
As malevolent eyes stare from afar!.
Visibility is cut to zero
And the silence makes your skin crawl!.
You do everything to try and not fall
Now why did you have to be the hero!?
It's a feat to stand up to such greatness;
Oh such a feat you may later regret!.
It will sweep you up like a fishing net
And make you feel entirely weightless!.
It's a colossal beast, make no mistake,
