Can u solve this Riddle ?????????!
Question: Can u solve this Riddle !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Joe bought a bag of oranges on Monday, and ate a third of them!. On Tuesday he ate half of the remaining oranges!. On Wednesday he looked in the bag to find he only had two oranges left!. How many oranges were originally in the bag!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Answers:
6!.!.!. why would it be twelve!?
first he eats two (a third of six), leaving four!.
then he eats two (half of four), leaving two!.
!.!.!.right!?
if people saying twelve are getting their answer using the same method as january jane, i think your mistake is that you're forgetting that on the second day he ate half of the REMAINING oranges!. so it wouldn't be 2/3-1/2, it would be 2/3-1/3 (1/3 is half of 2/3)!. so the two is 1/3 of the original number of oranges, which is six!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

2/3-1/2=4/6-3/6=1/6 of the bag left
1/6=2
5/6 is missing which is 2x5=10 plus the 2 remaining is 12

TWO!. He never ate a whole orange!. He ate 1/3 of his two oranges one day and then 1/2 of what was left the next day!. This still leaves him with sections of his two original oranges to eat!. Right!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
its not twelve because all of your are saying that the four is the one third!. but then he'd be left with eight oranges and eat four of them and have four left so that isn't right!.
