Riddle! 1st right answer wins 10 points!?!

Question: Riddle! 1st right answer wins 10 points!!?
A man was walking back home after spending the day at a carnival!.
Whilst there he had won three bags of gold!
On his way home he came to a bridge,
next to the bridge was a signpost which said:
"This bridge can only take the weight of one man and 2 bags of gold"
This meant that the man couldnt take all three bags of gold at the same time, otherwise it would be too heavy and the bridge would collapse!.
The man thought for a long time, then walked across the bridge with all three bags of gold!.

How!?

RULES:
the bridge if far too long to throw the bags,
he didnt share the gold between two bags, it would have still weighed the same
and he didnt exercise, or take any clothes off to loose weight
You can only cross the bridge once

10 points for the first person to guess the right answer!!
