Extremely hard riddle...?!
Question: One morning some three bankers named Jake, Jack, and John discovered that someone stole $100,000 from their bank. They decide to hire a detective to investigate. The detective comes in and examines the bank. Here's what he discovered...
1. On the security tapes he found 11 minutes missing
2. He found a loaded gun in Jack's car in the parking lot
3. Lastly, he found a few 100 dollar bills outside in the parking lot
No fingerprints were found.
The detective thought long and hard about this case. He took some time to study the three bankers, and after a while he decided to talk with the bankers about the gun.
"That gun you found was a hunting gun. I always keep a hunting gun in my car." Jake said.
"He's lying!" Jack said. "I've never seen a gun in his car, and he drives me to work every day!"
"Yeah, I don't recall Jake using a gun before. But wait! Jack stayed later than all of us one night!" John added

The answer is John. Nobody who has answered so far has addressed the missing 11 minutes on the security tapes. That is the key piece of evidence, not the gun or car. John said that he knew that Jack stayed later than all of them one night, but how would he know that it mattered? For all he knew, yes, Jack stayed later, but he could have left 2 minutes later. If he wasn't there, how would he know? Because he saw it when he was erasing the security tapes. He thought he was casting doubt on his innocent partner, but he gave himself away.
John robbed the place. The other two ride together, one of them would have noticed.
I don't know. Tell me. This is going to drive me nutso.

It was Jack (You messed up the names in the story or clues btw). Jack gets a ride with Jake, but he stayed later one night. He would have to walk home, or maybe buy a ride with 100 dollar bills.
Although since I guess they are all in $100s you would need a car. There is no detail about John which makes this kind of stupid.
I think it was Jack; but I honestly would like to know the answer.
It was John who robbed the bank because I think that Jack and Jake are like best friends since their always together, and they both said that they didn't do it. And just because Jake stayed the longest doesn't prove anything, maybe John stole it on his lunch brake or something. Plus, I don't think that John would be let inside the car since the other two guys are always together and it was found outside the parking lot.
(Man, that was long and confusing.)

And John said he [Jake] hadn't used a gun before? In previous robberies?

1.it had to be an inside job...so its not the detective...
2.when jack stayed late, he didn't ride home with jake...unless they both stayed late...
3.jake had a gun...but it was really for hunting because if he had used it for the robbery, it wouldn't be loaded (warining shots) plus, theres no customers at night.
4.since jake seems to be innocent, he didn't accompany jack when he stayed late...
5.also, if jake had been set up (some1 put the gun in his car) he would have said its not his gun. so, at least jack is lying.
6.i think it was jack theres not much evidence against john.
