Question: There is a monastery with monks. They are told one day that at least one of them is going to get a mark, if they have a mark they have to kill themselves. It is against their religion to talk to each other and it is against their religion to look at themselves in mirrors or reflections, anything. They cannot feel themselves getting a mark. The only activity the monks do together is eat their three meals a day. How many days will it take all the marked monks to kill themselves? Sorry if it is kind of confusing, ask any questions you have. It is not any one number like two or eight

They are never going to kill themselves because 1) they cannot FEEL the mark 2)they cannot look at themselves 3)if they see the mark on another monk they won't tell them because they won't want the monk to die!!!

Thats very very confusing. Especially considering it says at least one of them so that's suggesting that they all might not get it. Im stuck

they cant look at themselves to see if they have a mark and none of the other monks can say if the other has the mark so if the person doesn't know, they cannot kill themselves
They don't need mirrors, they have eyes

it doesn't specify how many days until they get the mark, just that one day they may get a mark.
it says they cannot talk, but it doesnt say they cant write a note.... but they will not all die... when there is one monk left there will be no one to tell him of the mark so he will not kill hiself.
