Question: Here's the joke:
A woman is sitting at her desk in an office looking dejectedly at a vase of beautiful flowers that were delivered to her from her boyfriend. "Why do you look so unhappy?" asks her co-worker. "Those are the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen!" The woman replies, "Yeah, but it means I'll be spending the next week or so on my back with my legs in the air." "What's the matter, Honey," says her co-worker. "Don't you have a vase?"

    In the UK we would have placed a stereotype in the joke,sort of offering the co-worker up as the sacrifice for the "butt" of the joke Very Early on in the build up.

    A blonde,Irish,etc etc.....Not by any means politically correct by today's standards,but an identifiable fall guy/girl.

    I am of Irish descent(before i get hammered),born blonde,but i had the sense to go darker !
    As a European/Irish descent/British born Male i viewed this "joke" with the same lack of humour as i view most American Canned Laughter Sitcoms.

    About as funny as being stuck in a Lift (Elevator) with an insurance salesman (person)


    So if we try to break this "joke" down we get a Dumb Co-worker and a Woman who expects to pay for her flowers from her boyfriend with Horizontal Dancing !

    Now call me old fashioned,but usually when a man gives a woman flowers,it's to Apologise,an anniversary,or out of guilt or in the end on her grave !
