yah, its painfull to watch anything dwindle that is a bright and shinning star in your life, but alas tis the nature of this existance, so the answer, I would look in her eyes and let her know I feel her pain ,..and hold her as she cries with me for the passing of a wonderfull soul that I got to know as well. its all that is needed realy.

I suggest telling him that his cat was called back to the place of happiness and lots of catnip. But also be there for them, because kids are fragile in this time of day. Our children will be ok.
