Be the detective "riddle"?!
Question: A 30 year old man wearing a white t shirt and blue jeans was found dead wednesday afternoon in his backyard when his wife came home from work
the murder weapon was found in the bushes "knife"
the wife called the police and they came and investigated the following people
1. wife says she was working all day
2. both neighbors heard nothing and claimed to be watching tv
3. their kids said they had been at school all day
the police stopped questioning people and quickly arrested the murderer.... who was it and how could they have known?

the wife- because if she wasn't the murderer she wouldn't have known it happened while she was at work.
plus she has the perfect motive-- that 500,000 dollar life insurance policy her husband just had made out in her name. and their not really her kids, their her sister's kids. her and her husband just take care of them because the sister has been "missing" for 5 years. and is actually that mysterious un-named corpse the police found earlier in the park ...but thats irrelevant.
damn, i think i watch too much law and order........

The wife! She said she was working all day, then how come she found her husband dead in the afternoon!!!
wife she couldnt have known if she didnt do it
don't pick on the wife because the kids did it. if the wife did it, she wouldn't have hid the murder weapon near the house. the neighbors didn't do it because they wouldn't have the murder weapon near their own house. So the kids did it because the father wouldn't give them what they wanted so they killed him, got scared and threw the knife into the bush thinking that the police wounldn't think of going into that exact bush.
