A riddle. a man wants to get into a private club but doesn't know the secret!
Question: a man approches the club and the doorman says twelve.
the man says six, welcome says the doorman and lets him in.
a second man comes and the doorman says six.
the man says three, welcome says the doorman and lets him in.
this is easy thinks the man hiding you just halve the number that the doorman says and your in,so he approches the club and the doorman says ten.
our man thinks for a moment and says five.
sorry says the doorman that is the wrong answer and shuts the door.
what was the correct answer and why?

He should say 3, the number of letters in the word (ten)
The man is supposed to say a timetable of 3!!!
he should say three because there are 3 letters in the number ten.

s-i-x=3
t-e-n=3
The answer could be the number of letters in the word
So six would be three (three letters)
twelve woud be six ( six letters)
Ten would be three
