Can you solve this riddle #2?!

Question: Shady was introducing his invention to a "Birds Unlimited" convention. He explained that he developed a special insulation for high powered electrical lines. This insulation is guaranteed to save thousands of birds who unwittingly land on the lines and are electrocuted each year. Shady claimed that with all the birds saved, the annual summer mosquito problem would practically disappear. As Shady was appealing for donations, Captain Frank, an avid bird lover, stood up and told Shady to peddle his line elsewhere. What is wrong with Shady's claim?

High powered electrical lines have such a strong magnetic field that it is virtually impossible for birds to land on them... The magnetic field will actually repel the birds...

is it 10

Birds don't get electrocuted on power lines.

mosquito's wouldn't go away..?

* Birds landing on a single wire aren't electrocuted.

birds dont get eletrocuted on power lines or eat mosquitos.

Captain Frank loves mosquitoes more

He dosent axsist.

that birds only get electricuted when they touch the line and the pole at the same time

There would be alot of poop on people?

birds cant get electrocuted cause there not touching both lines

Anything can be on one power line and not get electrocuted.

The top wire carries the most voltage.

It isn't until a power line is grounded that the electricity goes through the object, bird, or human being.

Birds can't get electrocuted on a wire because they are not grounded. They would have to have one foot on the ground or touching a ground wire on the pole. Nearly impossible. p

Ground. The birds are not grounded and thus not electrocuted.

he's killing all the mosquitos

Hmm, well this isn't so much a riddle as it is just simply a potential problem that you just have to rack your brain for. I think that the birds would either
A. become a problem in themselves or
B. become lazy on the lines and the mosquitos would grow and grow.

Haha but who am I to say, I suck at these things.

The electromagnetic field from the powerlines would repel the birds: they couldn't land on them

birds has a natural insulation on their feet.
during rainy days birds needs to touch 2 live wires before getting electrocuted.

bats helps a lot on insect hunting

Birds who land on high power lines themselves can not be electrocuted. The Only way this could happen is if the bird has one foot on the pole and one on the wire, because it then becomes a conductor of the electricity that is running thru the wires.

brids dont get electricuted.. do they ?

Birds don't get electrocuted on power lines because the current won't pass through them since they are poor conductors. If the bird were to hold onto another wire at the same time, it would get electrocuted. Please give me best answer.

birds do not get electrocuted on power lines.

Captain Frank is an airplane pilot..the birds get caught in his engine when he takes off and can crash his plane

birds cant get electrocuted since they aren't grounded...or touching two wires.

because shady's claim is bogus

Since you have "Birds Unlimited" i would say that they are ducks, and cannot land on power lines because they have webbed feet. And also, come down to where i live...there are two old guys i know that would bet their hands on the fact that you can get electricuted by touching one wire, as both fell from the cherry picker and it actually sliced through their hands, and also there are tons of birds that are baked on to the lines.
