What do you thin about this?!

Question: When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300°C.

The Russians used a pencil.

It's funny, sad and ludicrous all at once. I'm willing to pay taxes, but, I wish they were spent wisely.

well... i wouldn't spend that much money for a pen.
but i guess it is pretty awsome!!

we americans are really wastefull

sounds about right...then you wonder why are country is in the shape it is..........when are we going to get rid of politicians who allow this...can't blame bush for this one....

Are you sure that it was quite $12 billion? that seems like a little bit of a stretch to me. =]

It shows 2 possible things about americans:

A) we have no common sense

B) we are idiots

We are supposed to be the richest nation. I wonder how long that will last considering how wasteful we are.
