Little Bo Peep & Lost Sheep?!
Question: My Mother used to tell me a story about Little Bo Peep (name changed to protect the sheep)who lost her sheep and can't find them. Someone gave her bad advice to leave them alone, and they'll come home, wagging their tails behind them. I have check reputable sources & the sheep still seem to be missing. I believe the Big bad Wolf may be behind the disappearance of the sheep. Can anyone help solve the age-old mystery????

Seriously? Well the sheep tails are long that means they are lambs and have not had their tails bobbed yet.
Lambs stray but seek their mothers later... so if the mothers are around LBP ... there is a big din that is raised .... until the lambs are back with their mothers and they go right to nursing. Now if you've observed lambs when they nurse they shake or wag their tails.
However the rest of the poem:
Little Bo peep fell fast asleep
And dreamt she heard them bleating,
But when she awoke, she found it a joke,
For they were all still fleeting.
Then up she took her little crook
Determined for to find them.
She found them indeed, but it made her heart bleed,
For they left their tails behind them.
It happened one day, as Bo peep did stray
Into a meadow hard by,
There she espied their tails side by side
All hung on a tree to dry.
She heaved a sigh, and wiped her eye,
And over the hillocks went rambling,
And tried what she could,
As a shepherdess should,
To tack again each to its lambkin.
It is a coming of age poem... LBP is a child and the lambs have lost their innocents and the lambs look like all the rest of the sheep.
Well that's all the mess I can make of this... lol

And exactly who are these "reputable sources" you checked? You are clearly mistaken - the sheep did come back within 2 1/2 hours after the end of the poem.
So it seems to me that the advice to leave the sheep alone was effective in this instance.

She didn't loose her sheep. She ate them.
ooh, the sheep were drinking some water but a big rainbowy fish flew up. awed, they jumped into the streaming water and, to their astonishment, they floated across. they thought about how muchthey were missing and decided to leave forever.
On the second day of their departure, they found some green meat on the Moon. Curious as they are, they took it and ate some. then after a while three sheep mysteroiusly floated somewhere else and went to mars, where they burned to ashes.
