Ahh - good one...the truth is, we really don't know. Our past experiences would tell us that it DOES make a sound, but if there's no one to record it or witness it, there's no proof that it does. It's a question without an absolute answer!
yes it does... have you ever been in the middle of nowhere and herd a sound you couldnt explain, that is because sound waves carry, so if you close to something that not lound thousands of miles away its really loud
Of course not. Why would it make a sound if no one could hear it? Thats like making food for no one to eat. Trees dont do that.
Theoretically yes, and although it cannot be proved due to the fact that simply having a device in place to detect it would void the situation, the tree's sound and vibrations change small variables in the environment, where the butterfly effect comes into play. Although there isnt anyone to hear or see it, the trees action of falling directly affects its surrounding, which affect their surroundings in a different way than they would have if the tree had not fallen, and so on. So even though nobody would be around to provide definitive proof, the theirry proves that it does make a difference by falling, and theirfore makes a sound.
Also, their isnt any logical reason the tree would cease to make sound, because the vibrations of the tree makes the sound, for it to neglect to make a sound would be the tree not falling, which would render this entire point void.

I think so!
sound waves are vibrations and because it would create vibrations when t hit the floor then yes it would scientifically make a sound, unless it turns out that when everyone leaves the forest becomes a vacuum of no air in which case it cannot b/c the sound needs air to travel and carry itself. Since no one is there we will never know unless someone records it or we can go off of research.
