Double meaning: Do you know the muffin man?!

Question: There must be something else to this age-old question. Tell me what you think.

Answers: There must be something else to this age-old question. Tell me what you think.

The double entendre is indeed a reference to Drury Lane.

The first (G rated) reference is to a baker, living on Drury Lane, who delivers muffins each day.

The second (X rated) reference is to a pimp. In Britain, in Victorian times, a womans vagina was often refered to as "her muffin", thus the muffin man was a man who sold muffins on Drury Lane, which as previously noted was well known for it's brothels. Thus "the muffin man" is a reference to a pimp.

maybe it's warning kids 2 stay away from abductors

Drury Lane is a street in London, also notable for its theatre. Victorian households had many of their fresh foods delivered; muffins would be delivered door-to-door by a muffin man. The "muffins" were the product known in much of the English-speaking world today as English muffins, not the cupcake-shaped American variety. It could also refer to the darker era when Drury Lane was lined with brothels.

i broke into his house once. so yea

i think it means to stay away hes a weirdo!!!!!!!!

Why, yes, I do. The muffin man I'm referring to is called that based on his.....package though.

Double meaning? I dunno about that... but here is a cute story about the song: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muffin_Man
I grew up on Drury Rd. (in America, not England) and had a cat named Muff(in) Man!

No, we don't have muffin mans but there are bakers.

Yes that's a friend of mine, who tells me when his girlfriend sits on his face he can't hear his stereo. So it's like his ears are muffled, while he's eating his muffin---MAN?? Can you tell it's getting late
