!!!!!!!!!!10 points today to the first one to answer this question right!!!!!!!!!

Question: three men goes to a resturant for lunch and order the 10 dollar blue plate special, their total came to 30 dollars, when the owner came out he realized that they were his friends and told the waiter to take these 5 dollars and split it up among them, since he could,nt split the 5 dollars evenly among them he gave each one a dollar and he kept the other 2....so now that means they actually paid 9 dollars for each one of their lunches...right!....so 9+9+9=27 plus the 2 that the waiter kept makes 29!...what happend to the other dollar!!......i hope you are good in math!! (i will post the answer in two hours........have fun!!)

your logic seems to make sense but my logic actually works mathematically

The owner gives 5 dollars
thus they paid $25
now put in the 3 dollars that the men got and the 2 the waiter had and now it comes back to 30

u added wrong(or waitor added wrong)

dont know

gone up in smoke

he should have given them 6 dollars

The facts in this riddle are clear: There is an initial $30 charge. It should have been $25, so $5 must be returned and accounted for. $3 is given to the 3 friends, $2 is kept by the waiter - there you have the $5. The trick to this riddle is that the addition and subtraction are done at the wrong times to misdirect your thinking - and quite successfully for most. Each of the 3 friends did indeed pay $9, not $10, and as far as the friends are concerned, they paid $27 for the night. But we know that the clerk will tell us that they were charged only $25 and when you add the $3 returned with the $2 kept by the waiter, you come up with $30.

No, 2 of the customers paid $8 each and one customer paid $9. However, the waiter kept the $2 change ($1 of each of the 2 customers who paid $8 each).

The owner actually charged them 25 dollars for three plates.... so that's 8.33 each (not 9 dollars!). add the dollar that each of them received, that's 9.33. Multiply it by 3 and you get 28 dollars. Add the two dollars that the waiter received... There's your 30.

There is no missing dollar
