1 set of cats = 1 big + 7 little = 8
7 sets of cats per bag x 8 = 56 cats per bag
7 bag per girl x 56 cats = 392 cats per girl
7 girls x 392 cats = 2,744 cats total
2,744 cats x 4 feet per cat = 10,976 cat feet total
7 girls x 2 feet each = 14
10,976 cat feet + 14 human feet = 10,990 feet!

Ok so each girl has two legs each? so 14 legs for the girls.
If the backpacks are on the bus with them then you would add the cats legs (7 x 4 = 28 big cat legs) ( (7 x 7) x 4 = 196). So if all the cats are on the bus in the backpacks, I would say 238 legs.
But the riddle says that there are 7 girls on the bus, that the girls have 7 backpacks each, but they are not necissarily on the bus and if they are not, neither are the cats, so my answer is 14 legs. Unless some of the girls are amputees.
