Question: Because cigars cannot be entirely smoked, a hobo who collects cigar butts can make a cigar to smoke out of every 5 butts that he finds. Today, he has collected 25 cigar butts. How many cigars will he be able to smoke?

none because he has to find 5 butts not 5 cigar butts... but if he had to collect 5 CIGAR butts than he would be able to smoke as many he wants of the 5 cigars he makes
4 & 4/5's. With the original 25 he makes 5 new cigars. With the 5 butts from those he can make 1 more but can only smoke 4/5 of it.
EDIT: you can smoke only 4/5 of the first 5 and have 5 portions left over that can make a new cigar. of that cigar he can only smoke 4/5 of it. Making a grand total of 4 & 4/5.
