Truck -bridge riddle?!
Question: A large truck is crossing a bridge 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 14000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird lands on the truck. Does the bridge collapse?

lots of things to consider here...the wt of the bird, the air thrust, the fuel used, etc. In the absence of these details, I would say, NO, it would not collapse. 'coz generally, the wt, of the fuel already used by the truck, would be more than the combined weight of other minute factors. So, the truck should be a lot lighter now.

If the max weight the bridge can hold is the same weight as the truck, the bridge would not have collapsed whether the bird landed on it or not. Because if the bridge was going to collapse, it would have already done so, because the weight of the driver, in addition to the truck's 14000lbs would have put it over the limit. However, the truck has already made it halfway across. Not completely out of the question, but highly unlikely the bridge would collapse.
