i think i saw this question 5 times in the last week or so....
or maybe i'm hallucinating........ anyway its this way:
Each big cat = 8 cats (itself + 7 small cats)
Each backpack therefore contains 56 cats. There are 49 backpacks.
56x49 = 2744 cats
2744 x 4 = 10,976 cat legs
+14 girl legs = 10,990 legs
+2 if there's a person driving the bus =
10,992 if there's a person driving
10,990 if it's just sitting somewhere with nobody driving it.

I would have to assume there are 14 legs. Two per girl.
The backpacks are holding the big cats and little cats, but doesn't state the backpacks are on the bus.

then add 2 for the buss driver and the 14 for all the girls and i got...9620??
