Just change 'I hope for your consideration' to 'Thank you for your consideration', or even leave that line out. And maybe mention that she had a fever/felt ill on the day(s) she actually missed, not just the weekend.

Way too nice but it should do the job.

That's very good, if your daughteris inmiddle or high school though she may require an absent card and not a letter. check with the school.

Yeah. It's good.

Please excuse Hanna Kim for her absence on 1/9/2008. She was ill.

Thank you
Joahann Kim

You don't have to explain. You don't have to hope for consideration. Children get sick. She's your child. You make the decision to let her stay home when she's ill.

Why is it in the funny section?

what?

is this like a forged excuse letter?

All you need to say is: " Please excuse my daughter's absents on Wed. 1/9/08 due to illness." It is against Federal law for them to ask what was wrong with her.
