cuz its a pride..and its not called begging..it means if you like my joke you can give me a star to show that you really liked it...
EDIT:well i gotta agree with this one..i have seen a guy saying that if you dont star my joke his wife is going to die in 4 hours...lmfao!

I don't get it either. I star people sometimes if something IS funny, not sure what it means though. I got a star on a couple of my questions, didn't even know til I looked back at it. Do you get extra points or something?
I do ask for it,,,It is so that more people can enjoy the jokes I posted,,,Not that I craved for it,,,,That's what I say in my profile too...
