Can You Solve These Brain Teasers?!

Brain Teaser #1: A man is trying to commit suicide. So he junps off and lives, but the police don't arrest him. Why Didn't the police arrest him?
Brain Teaser #2: You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is in a remote part of the country and there has never been a bridge connecting the island to the mainland.
Every day a tractor and wagon gives hay rides around the island. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air. Nor was it built on the island.
Explain how the tractor got there?

The Wife said she was sleeping.
The Cook was cooking breakfast.
The Gardener was picking vegetables.
The Maid was getting the mail.

The police instantly arrested the murdered. Who did it and how did they know?

The man jumped from a first story window, so it wasn't illegal and he didn't even hurt himself.
The tractor got there because at low tide, there is a land mass between the island and the mainland.
The maid because mail doesn't come on Sunday.
Just guesses, but I think I at LEAST got the last one right. I love these things, even if I'm wrong!

the tractor was brought to the island though an underground TUNNEL.

but heres a guess ok just a guess
1) nobody contacted the police
2) the tractor got there by land (that was a complete guess)
3) the maid because its sunday and there shouldnt be mail
because the police was surprised he didn't die. idk? the butler!!!

#1The man wasn't found out to commit suicide because nobody even knew about coz he ddin't even hurt himself. They might have thought he was just doing a stunt or sleep walking.
#2 When the tide gets low, a land is formed between the island and the other so that's where tha truck passes.
#3 The cook? Because you don't really have to watch over your cooking at the leght of its course. While he wa simmering the pumpkin or boiling a celery, he could have sneaked and killed the man. Or the maid? No letters on Sunday. Well...

2. the tractor dug itself under the lake and under the ground.
3. there's no mail on sunday, so the maid.
1. They didn't see him and he didn't get hurt.
2. In winter the lake freezes, and they drive over. (Moose Factory, Canada?)
3. Poor maid doesn't get post on Sunday morning.

You cant get arrested for jumping
The rides were on the mainland, they were around the island not on it
