A father and son?!
Question: are driving home when the car stalls on the train tracks. it is the most inoppurtune time as well b/c as soon as the car dies, the gates start to come down. unable to get out in time, the car is plowed over by the train. the father is killed instantly and the son in critical condition. arriving at the hospital, it is decided that the boy needs surgery so he is rushed to the ER. upon arriving, the surgeon says "i cant operate on him, he's my son"

The mom is the surgeon. She can't operate, cuz it's too much pressure on her.
The father that was killed in the accident was a father, but not necessarily to the other guy in the car, who was the son of the surgeon.
