If blind people wear sunglasses why don't deaf people wear ear muffs?!

Question: just wondering?

Answers: just wondering?

you said "Muff"

idk but thats a good question

because they're already deaf. duh. ear muffs are for people who can hear and just don't feel like hearing anything at the moment. and being deaf can't be modified because your ears don't open or close. but being blind can be modified and people can be embarrased by that and it could scare people away from them

Well...I'm not certain why blind people wear those glasses but I'm guessing it's either because often their eyes look different than seeing eyes and they just chose to conceal them, or perhaps if they are not fully blind the light might bother them.

Deaf people however do not need to cover their ears for any reason. Earmuffs only protect from the cold and deaf ears looks the same as hearing ears.

I don't think ears can do very much to embarrass deaf people...

msym83 is right. earmuffs are to protect ears from the cold or loud noises and deff ppl wouldn't hear the noises. blind ppl wear sun glasses becos thier eyes look different and don't focus on anything so it looks (i don't mean to be mean here) different.

I have a blind friend and he wears glasses so as not to focus to much attention onto himself because when you go blind your eyes kind of change colour and look "not normal" and some people find weird or scary or whatever and also because when your blind, your eyes move around a lot as they cant focus properly so yeah its to be less conspicuous.

Deaf people don't wear earmuffs because you don't find people laughing and pointing at someones ears because they're deaf. You can't tell by looking at someone if they're deaf or not, but you can tell with blindness.

why do we cook bacon + bake cookies?

Would this also mean that people who can't speak should wear muzzles?I know bad joke. Seriously though, since deaf ears look no different that those of hearing then there is no reason to cover them up. Blind people however, have a problem in that particular respect, the eyes may look horrifying to sighted people such as being glazed over like a zombie, turned upward like they're about to faint, or in some cases, no eyeballs at all like the guy on Jeopardy! and Who Wants to be a Millionaire who BTW, did quite well despite his handicap to those who may remember him. Most blind people are aware of the appearance of their eyes and wear sunglasses to distract your attention away from their obvious handicap so you will be more apt to communicate with them.

the sunglasses are to cover ther eyes because theyir eyes are deformed in some way, and don't want other people to see that their eye is deformed. some blind people don't wear sunglasses because their eyes aren't deformed.
deaf people, the problem occurs inside the ear, so people wouldn't be able to see what was wrong, so they don't really need earmuffs.

Many people who are blind wear sunglasses because their eyelids don't automatically close and their eyes can still be damaged by UV Rays. They are protecting themselves more than being vain.
