The bartender placed a poison in both of the drinks. The trick is, the poison was in the ice. So, the first man drank the drink so fast that the ice didn't melt, so the poison did not get in his drink. The second man drank the drink way to slow, so the ice had time to melt out into the drink. The poison got into his drink and he died
The man who lived either took the antidote or had a higher natural immunity to the toxin.

Am I right?
Both men outlived the poison, but the bar was bombed. However, one man left the bar before it exploded and outlived the man.
I think that one was served with ice and one without. the one with ice had the poison in the ice cubes while the other drink had the poison placed directly in his cup (since he had no ice) the both drank their drinks completely but the ice didn't have time to melt and so the one with ice was okay while the other was not due to the poison being poured directly into his cup. Then again there is another answer. I have heard it 2 ways.
The one that lived was immune to the poison.
maybe:
the ice is poisoned, and the first man ate the ice so got poisoned/ drank the drink really slowly so the ice melted and got into the liquid. The other guy didn't do either of the stuff. So he didn't die!
