The "52 bicycles" are the cards in a "Bicycle" brand deck.
He was in the mall, and the rack that held the bicycles to the ceiling for display broke and crashed on him.

He died while playing poker
He tripped on a pile of sand and then got pepper spray in his yes. He got back up and started running around eating pretzels. He tripped yet again and ran into a bicycle store. He then got a glass of water and screamed like a maniac. He ran into a can of orange paint and re-named himself orange. He hummed to the tune of Love is Orange and browsed the shelves. He turned around to find a pair of flannel pants, he got so scared that he died and in the room were fifty-two bicycles.
