If it has to be one of those options, I would probably:
Run for cover and sound the alarms.
However, if not, as a karate black belt as well as an experienced person at judo, I'd give him a kick and take him to the ground before grabbing his gun to be safe.
Of course, hypothetically, I'd be scared out of my wits. I would like to think my skills would hold up, though.
I would like to think that I'd do something heroic like grab the gun and tackle the guy.
But in those situations you don't think clear and it is a heckuva lot scarier in real life.
