Baseball humor (only if you know the game!)?!
Question: It was the bottom of the inning with two outs, runner on third. The batter hit a ground ball to the third baseman, who instead of tossing it to first to get the out, threw it to the catcher at home, who was waiting to receive it and tagged the runner out. The manager was totally floored by this double "error", becasue normally, not only would the third baseman throw for the final out at first instead of home, but the catcher would run down the line to first to back up a possible errant throw.
Back at the dugout, the manager asked the third baseman, "Why did you throw home instead of to first?" The third baseman said, "Sorry skip, I thought there was only one out, not two, and wanted to prevent the run." The manager said, "I guess I can understand that, sometimes players do forget how many outs there are. But why," he asked the catcher, "were you waiting for the throw at home?"
"Simple" the catcher replied. "When you play with idiots, you've got to learn to think like them.
