If it was a huge pile I think I would walk thru it. A small pile I would kick it.

i would leave it as it was as, it was sweep up by someone, its best to leave it as it was.
If it was a small pile, I'd jump around madly, trying to crush every single leaf, but if it was a big pile, I'd walk around it, looking at it strangely :P
