just like the people who put an s in lisp

Answers: to be mean

just like the people who put an s in lisp

to be sarcastic and slightly retarded

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedalio... Fear of long words

My inference would be that at least the beginning of the word comes from hippopotomous, a large animal. Add monstrous in the middle. A quip, also in the middle, is a saying or statement. Phobia at the end of course means the fear of something.
its a long word meaning the fear of long words. its easy to remember because they link with the word long! hope that make sense ;P
good question
I guess they had to call it something...
It is actually Hippopotomonstrosesquippedalio... and my guess is that it is to show people that you're actually afraid so later you can overcome that fear

is that the longest word in english

where did you get that from

My guess would be so people will not have this fear they won't be able to tell people what they are affraid of. But I found a article about it happening to one man when he gave a speech and someone hit him in the head with a ham so now he won't use big words any more. I always wondered why people have strange phobias.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! TAKE IT OFF!!!! NOOOO!!! AHHHH!!!

had to call it something but your right it dont make much sence but it's the same with why do they sell 8 hotdogs in a pack and 10 hotdog buns in a pack?
