Are they really "oranges"?!

Question: my girlfriend is from the city of orange here in California and i was just wondering if people from l.a. are "angelinos" and people from texas are "texans" so on and so forth... would i be wrong in saying that her and anybody from any city named orange (im sure there are other cities named orange out there) are, in essence, "oranges"? and if not what would their proper title be? but if they are officially referred to as "oranges", well that is just great stuff, a real knee-slapper! (at least to me it is because i tease her about it constantly and she hates it)

???

Rather than 'Oranges', wouldn't they be more like 'Orangenians'?
Like residents from Oregon are called Oregonians.
(I know, you're just giving you girl static)
Just a 2-point thought. Have a great day.

My village is called Puss.
