What do I tell my newly married child about Thanksgiving (see details)?!

Question: Married into a very strict religion--my children who live in town think of Thanksgiving as a day to get drunk, high and watch/play football. They won't be okay with praying all day...what to do?

Tell them, "We all have to make sacrifices now & then. Now, it is our time to give thanks for all those years of good times we had, partying, getting drunk, passing a joint or two, feasting on good grub & lots of snacks (due to the munchies), watching & playing football in our own annual Turkey Bowl. Yep! Suck up team, we have to take one for the Gipper this year! But just U wait until next year when we finally get to open up a can of good ol fashioned whoopass!"

Why is this in Riddles & Jokes??

You could just be thankful having the family together. Maybe not serve liquour and unplugging the TV??

say..you made your bed you lie in it cos i'm getting rat arsed

Ms T, they are grown up now and have to make their own way through life.
