No one knows yet why the stupid chicken crossed the road.

Actually, I DID see a duck cross the road - seriously!!!

It was a mama duck crossing Fifth Avenue with her 7 little babies in a row behind her. They were lucky. There happened to be a parade that day. So there were lots of cops in the street & they actually stopped the parade to let the mom & her 7 babies cross Fifth Avenue. It was so cool.

Normally, the ducks leave the lake & make a nest in bushes in the park. This duck walked all the way out of the park & across Fifth Avenue to some bushes there. When her babies were old enough, she brought them back to the park. Lucky for them there was no traffic & there were lots of cops. Imagine - a New York parade stopped because of ducks.
