When they tell you something is "NEW" and "IMPROVED" which o!

Question: I bought energizer batteries the other day... The pack said "New and Improved".. How can something be new and improved at the same time? New: There was nothing like it before.. Improved: A better version of something that came out before..
*Scratches head* I actually find that funny lol..They're lying to me in the face and yet I'm still buying them xD
What do you think?

you could spend all day making fun or liars (I mean marketers) and you will have us in stiches. You're on a roll, keep going. Remember, this is what pro comedians do and it works, so keep it coming.
It's like a new item that they made off of something old and they improved it so that it's better than the original ... but you did have a very good point !
It is new BECAUSE it is improved. And that's not the definition of 'new'.
new paint job more buttons 10 min longer than the original. thats an improvement.
Right as you are, if it is an improvement over an old item, then it requires a new Patent. That's how they do an end-run around it being New and Improved. They aren't lying as much as you think they are, the new patent for an improved item makes it "New" and "Improved"

So sad that I know this....
