its "the DINGO ate my baby" i believe its from a movie.
Lindy Chamberlain. It was something that allegedly really happened back in the 80's - she was sent to jail for it (killing her baby), but years later was found innocent and aquitted... (they made a movie out of the story).
LOL. It's actually "the dingo ate my baby," a quote from the movie A Cry in the Dark that starred Meryl Streep. It's based on a true story of an Australian family who went camping in the outback then reported their infant child missing, claiming wild dingoes took the child. The mother was subsequently brought up on murder charges for allegedly killing her own baby, though she never changed her story, as far as I know.
Weird, but the quote became something of a catch phrase in the 90's and has been hanging around ever since.

AND Elaine on Seinfeld...when that woman was bragging about her fiancee...and she was saying , "where's my fiance, my baby"...Elaine says, "Maybe the dingo ate your baby".

If any of you have ever seen the movie A Cry in the Dark with Meryl Streep, you'll understand the phrase "The dingo ate my baby." This came from a true story when years ago a baby was eaten by a dingo. The baby's mother was prosectued for alleged murder, because the jury didn't believe that a dingo, which is a wild dog, had eaten a baby. But than another young boy was mauled to death by another dingo, which finally validated the mother's story. The location of these dogs is supposed to be on Fraser Island.
