Riddle for some out there?!

Question:

Riddle for some out there?

A wealthy CEO had died recently, leaving a huge fortune. In his will, he decreed that his son should inherit the company, but his son had run away. When this testiment of the CEO was revealed to the public, many people came forth claiming that they were the son. Fortunately, there was an old friend of the CEO who had known him. With the company, he devised a test for the people who claimed to be the son. All but one of the people volunteered for the test. Everyone who volunteered was found out to not be the son, while the one who didn't was found to be the true son. what was the test? and why did the son not take it?

brat got it right it was a blood test, and the son was hemophilic, now does anyone want more riddles like this? a blood test - he was a hemophiliac so the blood test wouldn't be the best thing for him cause he would need to go to hospital to get clotting agent to stop bleeding. the logical answer would be a DNA test but thats probably not it it had to be him---he never would do what he was told The test was to come forward and present yourself (say, "Here I am, I'm ready for the test"). The son didn't take it because he didn't want to claim the company...he had run away...
It's kind of a reverse psychology thing. The test was to present yourself, but the actual test that determined who was the son was NOT to come forward. A blood test. He might not have taken it if it was a HIV test.
Don't kno if I'm right. Blood test. He was deathly scared of needles. The test was a blood test. the son is a hemophiliac and refuses to take the test because much like a virgin one prick and it is all over. The test must have been to tell the father's secret sin.

Phonies had nothing to lose, and an inheritance to gain; so each tried to answer, gambling on a likely possibility... "a secret affair", "closet bi-sexuality", "closet communist", "a crime that was never discovered", etc.

The son respected his dad's memory, and decided not to say he was a paedophile, embarrassing him and dad. The test was to see if anyone could realize that the CEO was not dead. The "friend" is actually the father and no one knew it but the son. So he didn't take it because it was his father....:)...am I right, cause I confused myself...lol.J/P a blood test because as all the toher people said he was scard of needles and he ran away from home so why would he go back to the place he didnt want to be in the first place
