A chauffeur always arrives at the train station at five o'clock sharp to pick up his boss and drive him home. One day, the boss arrived an hour early, started walking home, and was eventually picked up. He is home 20 minutes earlier than usual. How long did the boss walk before he was picked up by the chauffeur?
Answers: This is what I thought up...
He walked for 50 minutes. The Chauffer had to save 10 minutes each way on his trip in order to be 20 minutes early. So 50 minutes would save 10 minutes on the trip to the train station and 10 minutes on the way back. Hope I'm right! 1 hour 40 min day light saving times took him 40 mins to walk home he never reset his watch The boss walked as long as it would take to get home- but I bet the chauffeur was a bit put out that the boss didn't even bother to call to say that he was walking home.
