Ok. Here it is.
U2 is getting to their concert, and they need to get there in 17 minutes.
They have to cross this bridge in 17 minutes.
Bono crosses the bridge in 1 min.
Edge crosses in 2 min.
Adam crosses in 5 min.
Larry crosses in 10 min.
Here's the catch. ONLY TWO PEOPLE CAN MOVE AT ONE TIME. one person has to be holding the falshlight at all times.
also, no tricks like piggy-back rides, or throwing the flashlight, or a magic carpet ride, okay? good luck. 10 pts. for person who does it correctically. HAVE FUN =)

2nd trip-- Bono returns-- 1 minute
3rd trip-- Adam and Larry goes-- 10 minutes
4th trip-- Edge returns-- 2 minutes
5th trip-- Bono and Edge goes together-- 2 minutes
2+1+10+2+2 = 17 minutes

wait... is it "bridge" as in music? they all hop in the band Limo and ride over together - rock stars don't walk over bridges K i think i got it they all go on the brigde at the same time but Larry takes a few steps passes the flasslight back the the next guy ould go the so one a so fourth its prolly wrong but iti tired dont know! whatz it? u2 don't need to get to their concert, it's better if they don't, trust me. what's the question ....O.o two of them move a couple of steps then the other 2 move a couple of steps until they get to the end. oh yeah the time that its says took them to do it says it took them 18 minutes and its only supposed to take them 17. so they didn't do it in 17 minutes. okay assuming they get to come back

E comes back and takes A thats 7 then E comes back with L Larry holds the flashlight and starts to cross with Adam.
Adam finishes at 5 mins after the start. Larry still has the flashlight and is halfway across the bridge.
Edge then moves with Larry. Edge finishes at 7 mins after the start. Larry still has the flashlight, and is 7/10ths of the ways across.
Bono then moves with Larry. Bono finishes at 8 mins.
Larry still has the flashlight and is 8/10ths of the ways across.
Larry then crosses the bridge.
All members have thus crossed after 10 minutes. Only two have moved simultaneously I'm not sure what I'm missing here...
Is it required that the person holding the flashlight is someone who isn't moving? they are only going to get to the end of the bridge......The concert is at the end of the bridge.. Well...with the info you gave...EASY! You never said how many flashlights...so I assume they each have one. Larry and Adam starts at the same time, larry is half way there when adam is done, edge goes and takes 2 minutes, so therefor larry has 3 more minutes left, Bono crosses in 1 min, therefor larry now has 2 more minutes left of travel. They all can end up crossing this bridge in 10 min. B, E, and A go on one bridge, taking turns, longest time to shortest, and larry goes on one bridge. It all makes perfect sense........I think....then again....Math isn't my best subject!!= ) Bono takes Larry half way and leaves him there = 5 min.
Bono walks back. = .5 min
Bono takes Adam halfway = 2.5 min.
Bono walks Back. = .5 min.
Adam takes Larry from the halfway point to the other side. = 5 min.
Bono takes Edge to the other side = 3 min.
Total = 16.5 minutes. they never made it across the bridge.
