The pleasing image of the sun, radiating its warmth and brilliance, and the innocence of the man basking in it's supernatural glory. This tells a story so rarely portrayed in the felt-tip medium, and it's encouraging to see. Note the detail in the expression of the subject- does one consider he's happy to be out in the glorious sunshine, or is he rather less pleased. What is he (and indeed the artist) trying to tell us here?
We can answer these questions in any way we'd like as, unlike the sylised methodism used in rennaisance or romantic-era portraiture, this image has not been created to satisfy some kind of romantic ideal, in which it would be forced to discount the idio-synchratic facial qualities of the subject.
One rarely gets a true glimpse of genius, but here, my friends, we have witnessed it first hand! wow thats really........................... well.. that certainly is......hmm... erm... yes you do, why not make a career out it, i would! very artistic, iam impressed.would you like to paint my house...TA! hehe. you're cute. (: its amazing yer self-portrait chrissy I just LOVE having my time wasted looking at rubbish, and let's face it, (A) you don't write English money the way you have, and (B) if you really HAD made that amount of money you'd be doing more painting, not wasting everybody's time on here ! ! !
