In the basement there are 3 light switches in the off position. Each switch controls 1 of 3 light bulbs on the floor above. You may move any of the switches, but you may only go up stairs one time. How can you determine which switch controls each light?
Answers:
Turn one of the switches on,and leave it there for a while,then after about 5-10 minutes, turn it off.Immediatly turn one of the other switches on and go upsatairs.Feel the lightbulbs. The one that is hot/warm is the first one you turned on because you left it on for a while. the one that is currently on is the 2nd switch you flipped. the one that has no heat and is off is linked to the switch you havent touched yet.
