3 men are on a journey, they stop at a hotel for the night. The room is $30. They each pay $10. The hotel host gives them a discount of $5. Since he can't split evenly between the 3 guys the $5, he gives them each $1 and keeps the remaining $2 for himself.
The room is $27 dollars. ($30 - the $3 dollars they get back)
they each pay $9 ($10 - $1 discount)
$9+9+9 + the $2 dollars the host kept = $29 Dollars? Where's the other dollar?!?!

The room was $25 (30 - 5).
They each paid $9 (9 x 3 = 27)
